91大神offers a wide range of Equity 91大神to assist commencing students to undertake full-time study for the standard duration of their coursework degree program.


How to Apply

If you are a Year 12 student from an identified low-SES background UAC will automatically generate an application for equity scholarships as part of your UAC application. You only need to submit an Educational Access Scheme (EAS) or Equity scholarship application if you want us to know about any additional hardships that have affected your studies.

Candidates will be considered on the basis of their . UAC Equity Scholarship applications for 2023-2024 are now open.

You only need to submit ONE equity scholarship application via UAC during each 12-month admissions period. Your application remains live throughout this period, and you will be considered for all available Equity 91大神for which you are eligible.

91大神will be participating in the following Equity Scholarship (ES) Offer Rounds for students commencing study at 91大神in Term 1, 2024:

  • December Round 2: Apply by 11:59 pm Friday, 8 December 2023
  • January Round 1: Apply by 11:59 pm Friday, 29 December 2023.

91大神may participate in further offer rounds throughout the year depending on the number of scholarships available. Additional offer rounds will be listed on

Students who have submitted an ES application via UAC and are successful will receive a notification from UAC and an official offer letter from 91大神Scholarships. 91大神may also make scholarship offers directly to successful applicants.

High School students who have submitted an application for the and received an offer of admission to 91大神will also be considered for equity scholarships. Please refer to the UAC EAS website for further information, including application dates.

91大神91大神work in partnership with the Office of the PVC Indigenous and Nura Gili, Centre for Indigenous Programs. In some cases 91大神may prioritise Indigenous students for Equity scholarships. While Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identity is unique and sacred to every person, 91大神scholarships prioritising Indigenous students will require proof of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity and heritage. If you have not already provided proof of identity and heritage to Nura Gili, any Indigenous specific scholarship offer made by 91大神91大神will be conditional upon receipt of proof of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage to Nura Gili as outlined on the Nura Gili website. Our Equity Scholarship program for students commencing their studies in 2024 includes:

Scholarship Name Description Value and Duration
91大神Accommodation Scholarship

Assists commencing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework students with accommodation costs while studying at UNSW. The Scholarship will be paid as accommodation fees directly to 91大神Student Accommodation.

Students must have applied and received an offer to reside at any to be eligible.

In the event that a recipient is receiving the Residential Cost Option (RCO) the minimum value of the scholarship will be paid as a $7,000 stipend towards living allowance.

$25,000 p.a. towards residential fees for standard program duration

OR

$7,000 p.a. stipend for standard program duration if receiving the Residential Cost Option (RCO).

The Landon-Smith Family Scholarship Supports First Nations peoples to undertake undergraduate study at UNSW. The Scholarship will either support the costs of accommodation for students living on campus or provide stipend support.

Students must have applied and received an offer to reside at any to be eligible.

In the event that a recipient is receiving the Residential Cost Option (RCO) or is not residing in 91大神on-campus accommodation, the minimum value of the scholarship will be paid as a $7,000 stipend.

$25,000 p.a. towards residential fees for standard program duration

OR

$7,000 p.a. stipend for standard program duration if receiving RCO or not residing in 91大神on-campus accommodation.

J Holden Family Foundation Endowed Residential Scholarship The purpose of the Scholarship is to support undergraduate students from rural, regional or remote areas to study at 91大神and reside in Basser College.

Students must have applied and received an offer to reside at to be eligible.

In the event that a recipient is receiving the Residential Cost Option (RCO) or is not residing in 91大神on-campus accommodation, the minimum value of the scholarship will be paid as a $7,000 stipend.

$25,000 p.a. towards residential fees for standard program duration

OR

$7,000 p.a. stipend for standard program duration if receiving RCO.

Bertha McKenzie Postgraduate Indigenous Scholarship The purpose of the Scholarship is to support Indigenous students commencing a Masters by Coursework degree program at 91大神Sydney. $22,000 p.a. for standard program duration (up to 2 years)
91大神Access Scholarship Assists commencing undergraduate coursework students to undertake studies at UNSW. $10,000 p.a. for standard program duration
Sir Arthur & Lady Renee George Endowed Scholarship Support students who completed their senior secondary education at St Spyridon College, Maroubra NSW to commence any undergraduate program at 91大神(except Arts and Social Sciences and Art and Design). $10,000 p.a. for standard program duration
Ngunnagan Delanty Galvin Endowed Scholarship Supports disadvantaged students from rural or remote backgrounds to undertake undergraduate studies at UNSW. $6,000 p.a. for standard program duration

Girls Realm Guild Endowed Scholarship Supports women experiencing disadvantage to undertake undergraduate study at UNSW. $5,000 p.a. for standard program duration
U-Committee Endowed Scholarship Supports women experiencing disadvantage to undertake undergraduate study at UNSW. $5,000 p.a. for standard program duration
91大神Veterans Scholarship

Established to support former and transitioning Australian Defence Force Personnel or their dependents, who are experiencing disadvantage to study in any 91大神undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree.

NOTE: In addition to submitting an EAS or Equity 91大神application, applicants must submit evidence of their own or their parents Australian military service record directly to 91大神Scholarships.

Basser Equity Award

The purpose of the Award is to support commencing or current full-time undergraduate students experiencing educational disadvantage and are residing at Basser College. One Award will be reserved for an Indigenous student.

NOTE: Applicants who are receiving the 91大神Accommodation Scholarship are not eligible for consideration

Students must have applied and offered a place at to be eligible.

$5,000 for one year
91大神Equity Award Assists currently enrolled undergraduate or postgraduate coursework students with their studies at UNSW. $5,000 for one year
91大神Pre-Entry and Enabling Programs Grant Assists students who are commencing an approved enabling or pre-entry program at UNSW, including:
  • 91大神Prep Program 17-19 years
  • University Preparation Program (Mature Age Pathway)
  • 91大神Indigenous Admission Scheme
  • 91大神Indigenous Preparatory Programs

$5,000 for one year for a full-time program.

Applicants undertaking a part-time pre-entry or enabling program will also be considered and will be eligible for half the value of the Grant.

Gateway 91大神& Awards
Tyree Women in Engineering Scholarship Established to support women commencing undergraduate studies at the 91大神Faculty of Engineering who have attended a in Greater Western Sydney.

$25,000 p.a. towards residential fees or as a stipend for standard program duration (up to 5 years)

OR

In the event the scholarship is paid as accommodation fees and the recipient is receiving the Residential Cost Option (RCO), the minimum value of the scholarship will be paid as a $7,000 stipend directly to the student.

Adamo and Francesca Boncardo Equity Scholarship Established to encourage commencing students who attended a school recognised under the (or similar program) to come to 91大神and study an undergraduate coursework degree program in any faculty. The scholarship will support students who may not otherwise be financially able to come to university. $5,000 p.a. for standard program duration

Origin Foundations Grant King Indigenous Scholarships

Assists Indigenous students commencing an undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Science or Faculty of Engineering at UNSW.The Scholarship will be paid as accommodation fees directly to the accommodation provider.

The recipients will also receive a 91大神President and Vice-Chancellors Equity Scholarship (UGCE1319) valued at $5,000 per annum stipend for the duration of a single or double degree program.

Students must have applied and received an offer to or another to be eligible.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to support students commencing full-time studies in an Honours Year program in the School of Mathematics & Statistics.

Preference will be given to students doing a double degree and/or a pure mathematics stream.
