91大神Business School

Coming from a rural area with very little opportunities available after finishing school, moving to Sydney was something I really wanted to do in order to follow my career aspirations. I chose 91大神not only for their high industry regard and prestige, but also because of the numerous extracurricular opportunities available which help craft the best possible graduates. 91大神is an institution of vision and direction, and are constantly challenging the way things are done so they can improve the educational experience for their students. It is a university where you are challenged as a student to bring out the best in you, and this is why I study at UNSW.

I am a people person, and have always wanted a career where I can collaborate with a diverse range of people. This led me to choose a combined Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Economics degree, as this degree opens a wide variety of opportunities and career paths. I major in Finance, Financial Economics, and Accounting, which provides me with a really broad yet deep knowledge and understanding of business. This degree really strengthens your problem solving and analytical ability, which are the soft skills employers are continually looking for.

My scholarships have opened up a number of opportunities for me, which have really shaped my university experience. Having to move away from home and financially support myself, the monetary benefit has been extremely beneficial, however, it is the extra benefits which have had a lasting impact. As part of my scholarships, I have been part of the Career Mentoring program, Global Business Practicum in Jakarta, and Industry Experience Program. These invaluable experiences have extended my learning far beyond the classroom, and have allowed me to network with a diverse range of business professionals. By alleviating the financial pressure as a student, I have been able to devote more of my time to be part of some of the great societies at UNSW. I have been Treasurer at Philip Baxter College, and am currently a Project Leader at 180 Degrees Consulting. Both of these opportunities have allowed me to meet new friends, develop technical and soft skills, and get involved with university life.

Saul's advice for future students:

Get as involved as possible! It is so easy to get caught up with study and just focus on your subjects, however, there are so many incredible opportunities available at 91大神which really develop you as a person. I can say that the greatest memories from my time at 91大神have come from the extracurricular opportunities I have taken part in. I have been fortunate enough to have my degree take me overseas, land experience in corporate workplaces, and meet some truly incredible people.
