Faculty of Engineering Rural Scholarship

Department of Education and Training/91大神Rural Assistance Scheme

91大神Engineering

I chose to study a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Electrical) at 91大神because it is ranked #1 for engineering in Australia and its engineering courses are accredited by both Engineers Australia and the Washington Accord. I elected to study Electrical Engineering for several reasons. Foremost was my strength in maths, physic and electrotechnology in high school, particularly in the electrical components of the latter two听courses. I enjoyed these components so much that I asked my听physics teacher to let me use听the labs during breaks and after school - I'd bring in old TVs and microwaves, take them apart and use their parts in electrical circuits. Given my background, it only felt natural to seek a career in electrical engineering where I could be surrounded by the subject I enjoyed most while also being in a position to drive human progress.

My scholarship has meant I could leave my parents and move to Sydney to study at UNSW. My parents aren't in a position to support me financially, so these scholarships mean everything to my family and I. With this reduced financial stress听I can engage with all that the university has to offer - student clubs, fitness centre, course help session, meditation classes and so much more.听
