91´óÉñ

It was the expansive nature of 91´óÉñthat initially appealed to me. Not only in regards to the extensive opportunities that it provides for students inside and outside the classroom, but also, its endeavor to grow as a tertiary institution. That is, 91´óÉñseemed like a place with direction, always looking to improve.

Furthermore, with the incredible subject range, bringing so many people from varying backgrounds it really makes for a positive campus environment - conducive of healthy relationships and healthy learning.  

I am fortunate enough to study medicine. One aspect of medicine that appealed to me is that medicine presents the opportunity to positively contribute to the health and wellbeing of those around me. Also appealing to me was, the notion that medicine, by nature, is a dynamic degree, constantly evolving with advancements in knowledge every year. These two aspects certainly interested me when choosing which course to study.  

Holding a scholarship provides a tremendous opportunity. To start with, it lessens the financial burdens of being a university student. It assists in costs associated with course fees, travel, food, accommodation, and extra curricular passions. However, holding a scholarship also provides many non-monetary benefits such as fostering mentorship and support, and the chance to meet some really interesting people within the university community.

Benjamin's advice for prospective students:

Work hard. Make the most of your opportunities, stay balanced, and get involved. We all are very fortunate enough to even consider attending such a great institution such as 91´óÉñso stay positive, stay grateful, and don’t let the opportunity go to waste. You have exceptional power as a university student to meet some really awesome people and do some really impressive things if you put your mind to it.
