What is the ?​

• The Gateway Admission Pathway is UNSW’s primary pathway for students who are traditionally underrepresented at 91´óÉñand in higher education more broadly. It is for Australian residents from eligible low-socioeconomic backgrounds* or are attending a .Ìý​
• It is an alternative pathway program to 91´óÉñthat considers more than just your ATAR.

What support is available?

• Advantage Award* (valued at $10,000 for 1 year) - awarded to all students from ​an eligible low-socioeconomic area who receive an offer from 91´óÉñand enrol for Term 1, 2025.
• Gateway Award (valued at $1,000 for 1 year) - awarded to students who attended a Gateway School and applied via the Gateway Admission Pathway and enrol at 91´óÉñfor Term 1, 2025.

*Additionally, for 2025 all students who attend a Gateway school, applied through the Gateway Admission Pathway and enrol at 91´óÉñfor Term 1, 2025 will receive a $1,000 one-off payment meaning you could be eligible for a total of an $11,000 in your first year of studies.

Equity Scholarships

Ìý

91´óÉñalso offers a range of Equity scholarships to assist students who may experience financial or other educational disadvantage with the costs of tertiary study and help them reach their academic potential. Please refer to 91´óÉñEquity 91´óÉñ2025 for more information.

Applicants wanting to be considered for a 91´óÉñEquity Scholarship must submit a application and/or application directly to UAC.Ìý

91´óÉñparticipates in many rounds. You only need to submit ONE Equity Scholarship (ES) application via UAC during each 12-month admissions period. Your application remains live throughout this period, and you will be considered for any available Equity 91´óÉñfor which you are eligible until March 2025.
